Partendo dall’idea che il corpo sia, come insegnano psicologia analitica, genetica e filosofia, luogo simbolico dell’origine, si può comprendere l’importanza dell’impatto che le diverse tecniche di inseminazione eterologa hanno sulla formazione dell’identità personale. La tecnica più diffusa che avviene mediante donatore di sperma, che resta quasi sempre sconosciuto, implica l’assenza per i figli di una relazione con il padre biologico. Gli studi scientifici sull’argomento, prevalentemente pubblicati da istituti interessati alla promozione di queste tecniche, sottovalutano gli effetti psicologici negativi di questo impatto e si limitano a consigliare di informare i figli sulle modalità del loro “concepimento”. Le testimonianze registrate sui siti web e affidate a libri di carattere autobiografico rivelano invece che i figli nati in questo modo soffrono profondamente, non solo per la mancanza di informazioni su metà del loro patrimonio genetico, ma soprattutto per l’assenza di una relazione personale con il padre naturale.

Starting from the idea that the body is, as analytical psychology, genetics and philosophy teach us, the symbolic place of origin, we understand the importance of the impact that the various techniques of heterologous insemination have on the formation of personal identity. The most common technique is carried out through a sperm donor, who is almost always unknown and, for the children, implies the absence of a relationship with the biological father. The scientific studies on these matters, mainly published by organizations interested in the promotion of the- se techniques, underestimate the negative psychological effects of this impact and they simply advise parents to inform the children abouthow they were “conceived”. The evidence recorded on websites and related in autobiographical books reveals instead how the children born in this way suffer deeply, not only for the lack of information on half of theirgenetic heritage, but especially because of the lack of a personal relationship with their natural father.
